The Reality of the Kingdom
The reality of the kingdom of God is something that is often misunderstood or overlooked. However, the Bible makes it clear that the reality of the kingdom is found in Christ. Specifically, Christ is the seed of life that brings about the kingdom.
Mark 4:3 and 26 say that Christ, who is the source of life, has sown himself as the seed of life into God’s chosen ones, who are the soil for growing him. In other words, Christ has planted himself within us, and as we allow him to grow and take root within us, the kingdom of God is established. This is the essence of the reality of the kingdom.
To further understand this concept, we can use the biological term “gene” and apply it to Christ as the seed of life, which is the kingdom in its reality. In the same way that without human genes it is impossible to have human life, without Christ, the seed of life, it is impossible to have the kingdom of God. He is the gene that brings about the kingdom.
The expansion of the kingdom is also seen in Christ’s growth within us. Luke 17:20-21 confirms this, saying that the kingdom of God does not come with observation, but is among us. It is a spiritual reality that can only be realized by the Spirit within our regenerated spirit. As Christ grows within us, the kingdom expands and increases. This is the enlargement of the kingdom.
It is important to note that the kingdom is not something that can be observed by our natural abilities or thinking. It is not something that can be seen with our physical eyes or measured by our material standards. Instead, it is a spiritual reality that can only be apprehended by the Spirit within us.
In summary, the reality of the kingdom is found in Christ. He is the seed of life, the gene of the kingdom, and as he grows within us, the kingdom expands and increases. It is a spiritual reality that cannot be observed by our natural abilities or thinking, but can only be apprehended by the Spirit within us. It is crucial for us to understand this truth in order to fully enter into and experience the kingdom of God.
